A BUSY Somerset route is to close for resurfacing works.
Work is set to take place on the B3224 at Church Hill in Exford between Monday, March 24, and Friday, March 28, with a closure in place from March 25 to 28 between 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Somerset Council will carry out initial work under temporary traffic lights on Monday, before the road closures begin, with a diversion route in place.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout for residents, the council said, while there may be some restrictions or delays for vehicle access on occasion to some properties.
Lead member for transport and waste services at the council, Cllr Richard Wilkins, said: “This is an important scheme delivering a fresh surface on a busy, vital route across Exmoor.
“The team will do their best to get the work completed as quickly and painlessly as possible – please do liaise with them if you are a resident and need to raise any issues around access.
“We are extremely grateful to residents for their support and understanding while this work is done.”
