A BUSY Bridgwater road is set to close in the evenings for nine days for resurfacing work.
Taunton Road is set to shut to traffic between 6.30pm and 11.30pm from February 2 to allow Heidelberg to carry out “prep and resurfacing works on behalf of Somerset Highways”.
A diversion will be in place, though delays are expected on the busy road – a main route into the town centre.
The work comes as part of Somerset Council’s efforts to improve roads in the county, which included filling 23,000 potholes in 2025.
