Appeal after M5 crash near Bridgwater that left man with head injuries

A MAN suffered head injuries after a crash on the M5 near Bridgwater on Valentine’s Day (February 14).

Police are appealing for information after the incident, which occurred at around 8.10pm.

A black Vauxhall Insignia and a blue Honda Accord were involved in the crash, with police and emergency services sent to the scene.

No arrests have been made, an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.

“The driver of the Vauxhall suffered a head injury which required hospital treatment,” they added. “He has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home. The driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries.

“If you witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, or have dashcam footage recorded around the time of the incident, please contact us.”

Officers are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a vehicle “travelling in lane three immediately before the collision”.
