TAILORS of Somerset! Taunton Town Council (TTC) is in ‘need-le’ of support to keep the mayor looking their best.

The authority has called on a “skilled, confident” tailor to come forward to restore robes worn by the town leader.

“The mayor’s ceremonial robes have served us well for many years, but even the finest threads show their age eventually,” a TTC spokesperson said.

“We’re looking for a skilled, confident tailor who can carefully repair and restore the robes so they continue to shine at official events and civic occasions.

“We’ve searched far and wide, but so far, no luck, that’s why we’re reaching out to our wonderful community.

“If you have the skills, know someone who does, or have a recommendation, please get in touch. Let’s protect our heritage.”
