A NEW NHS dentist is opening in Somerset – but a form offering people the chance to register their interest has since been closed due to the high demand.

People were being encouraged to register their interest in becoming a patient at One Smile Dental, which is set to open a branch on Chard Business Park, in Leach Road, next month (December).

“We’re excited to announce that your new NHS Dental Practice, One Smile Dental – Chard
will be opening in December 2025,” a spokesperson said.

“We’re now welcoming new patients and invite you to register your interest. Once you’ve completed the form, a member of our team will contact you to arrange an initial appointment.

“Please note that we are not able to register your interest at the premises at this time.

“All new patient registrations must be completed online using the form (online).

“‍We look forward to welcoming you soon.”

However, after news of the opening was published, the form has been taken down from the website, which said: “Expressions of interest are currently paused further to high demand this morning. We expect to reopen the portal for expressions of interest in coming days.”
