THE Victoria Club in Street will host a free prostate screening event next month.
Men over 40 can book an appointment at the Leigh Road venue for a session run by the Somerset Prostate Support Association, for between 10am and 4pm on November 15.
“Every year in the UK 40,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and around 10,000 die from the disease,” a spokesperson said.
“Early diagnosis can be crucial to successful treatment.”
Confidential appointments take 10 to 15 minutes and must be booked online in advance via mypsatests.org.uk/events.
For any questions regarding the tests contact Peter Hopwood on 01458 441669, or email peterhopwood46@gmail.com.
Donations to SPSA for future testing events will be gratefully received either at the event or via spsa.uk, where you can donate online.
