Shindig Festival announces return for 2025 – and the new location

THE Shindig Festival, which formerly took place near Ilminster, has revealed it is returning for 2025 at a new home.

The event, which ran on the Dillington Estate in Somerset in 2022, 2023 and 2024, is set to move to Charlton Park, in neighbouring Wiltshire, from this summer.

After the 2024 festival, Shindig organisers announced it was the last, saying it was becoming “increasingly difficult for independent festivals to operate”.

However, they have now revealed Shindig will return between May 22 and 25 at its new home.

“This iconic location, previously home to the legendary WOMAD festival, offers a breathtaking backdrop for an unforgettable weekend of music, magic, and mayhem,” a spokesperson said.

They said the line-up, which in previous years featured the likes of Groove Armada, Sister Sledge and De La Soul, will be revealed “in the coming weeks”.

“We can’t wait to welcome you to Shindig at Charlton Park, your new playground, now with a 4am licence,” the spokesperson added.
