TWO famous Somerset lovebirds have shacked up to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.
The two owls – Finn and Trude – returned to the barn owl box in the Blackdown Hills near Wellington.
The loving couple went viral in April 2022 when they welcomed four baby owlets, with the Somerset Wildlife Trust livestream of the barn owl box being watched by thousands.
The owlets all successfully fledged after being ringed to allow the trust to track their adventures.

The Somerset Wildlife Trust is hoping the pair will welcome more owlets soon.
A spokesperson said: “We have the best news to share with you this Valentine’s Day!
“Somerset’s most popular barn owls are back in their nesting box!
“Finn and Trude, the superstars of our live barn owl webcam, are back for another year — and they’re making the most of Valentine’s Day!
“We’ll be crossing our fingers to see little owlets in a few months’ time!”
The trust says the pair will mutually preen each other and rub cheeks, as well as making soft chittering noises and hissing during courtship.
