MORE households in Somerset are facing a missed bin or recycling collection today (January 8) as crews look to catch-up following bad weather.
Earlier this week, crews collecting form the kerbside were delayed or prevented from attending some addresses due to icy conditions and snow on Exmoor and have been catching up since.
However, they said some areas would face missing out on their collection today.
“To help us catch up with delays from earlier in the week, we won’t be able to reach everyone today,” a Somerset Council spokesperson said.
“We’re sorry, some residents in Yeovil, Wellington and surrounding villages may not have a recycling collection as expected.
“If your collection is missed, our crews will be back tomorrow, so please leave your boxes, bags and bin out.”
