RECYCLING collections in Bridgwater and Frome could be delayed today amid ongoing problems.
Somerset Council has warned of possible late collections today (October 8) – which could see crews making pick-ups a day later than normal.
It comes amid on-going delays for many collections across the county, with contractor SUEZ previously confirming to your Leveller it was experiencing issues with “sickness, staff turnover” and the need to comply with health and safety standards.
Contract director Matt Canning said he expected a “return to the regular schedule” by October 20.
Meanwhile, residents whose recycling has not been collected on the day it’s scheduled are being asked to leave boxes and bags out for pick-up the following day, including Saturday.
If it’s been more than 24 hours and the recycling has not been collected, then residents should report a missed collection, via somerset.gov.uk/missed-collection.
