SOMERSET households expecting a rubbish and recycling collection on Friday (June 20) are being warned crews will be out early – due to the soaring temperatures.
Somerset Council said collections will get underway at 6am, with households being urged to make sure their bins are out early.
“Due to the high temperatures, crews will be starting early tomorrow to try and beat the worst of the heat,” a council spokesperson said.
“Please put your boxes, bag and bins out tonight or before 6am tomorrow.”
The change comes as temperatures across Somerset could hit around 30C as the country experiences a heatwave.
