Bus service to Cribbs Causeway is FREE until Christmas Eve!

FREE bus travel is being offered between North Somerset and Bristol this Christmas.

As part of efforts to encourage people to use public transport, until Christmas Eve, travellers can use the Big Lemon bus service for free.

The route – the X10 – runs between Yatton Station, through Clevedon, Portishead, Cribbs Causeway, Filton College, and Southmead Hospital.

Funding for the scheme comes from the Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

And North Somerset Council (NSC) said the free travel made it easier for people to use the bus for shopping, work, study, and appointments.

Hugh Malyan, cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “Christmas is all about spending time with family and friends. With this free travel offer this festive season, people can visit loved ones in Clevedon, Portishead, Bristol, and beyond via Yatton Station, without worrying about fares, parking, or congestion.

“We hope this initiative helps everyone enjoy the festive season while exploring local shops, markets, and the many special places our communities have to offer.”
