BRIDGWATER’S main thoroughfares are getting a deep clean.
King Square, The Cornhill, Fore Street and High Street are among spots getting a spruce as part of efforts by Bridgwater Town Council (BTC).
The areas are being refreshed between 5pm and 11pm using high-pressure cleaning techniques to improve the appearance and safety of public spaces, with some work already completed.
The project is being delivered by specialist contractor Haloblast and Coatings Ltd, with cleaning including pathway washing and chewing gum removal.
Deep cleans occur in the town twice each year, alongside regular cleaning carried out by BTC staff.
Cllr Tim Mander, chair of the BTC Amenities Committee, said: “Keeping our town clean and welcoming is a shared responsibility. These deep cleans are an important part of our efforts to maintain public spaces, and we encourage residents to let us know if they spot any issues. Together, we can make Bridgwater a place we’re all proud of.”
