Woman, 32, jailed after theft and threats with a knife in Frome

A WOMAN has been jailed after stealing meat from a Frome shop – then abusing staff members and threatening a member of the public with a knife.

The 32-year-old was arrested after an incident at a Co-op store in the town on Monday (January 19).

She appeared in court today (January 21) and pleaded guilty to offence sand was jailed for 10 weeks, where she will also receive further support.

Officer in the case, PC Alice George, said: “We want to thank the Frome community for reporting this incident and supporting our investigation. Your information helps us respond quickly and keep people safe.”
