VEHICLES have been “removed” from the streets of Weston-super-Mare as police said they are aware of on-going issues over anti-social driving.
Avon & Somerset Police said they were in “regular contact” with Kewstoke Parish and North Somerset Councils over anti-social driving in the Sand Bay and Kewstoke area to address the concerns.
“We are grateful for the reports members of the community have been submitting and would encourage you to continue doing so,” a spokesperson said.
“These reports help us understand when and where issues are occurring and shape our policing activity.
“Police have recently removed several vehicles due to dangerous driving and vehicle defects, with drivers dealt with under road traffic legislation. “This enforcement will continue as part of our routine patrols in the area.
“Due to the location of much of the poor driving, we would also encourage residents to report concerns directly to North Somerset Council, who are responsible for the car parks.
“It is important they understand the level of frustration within the community so we can work collectively to find solutions. Thank you for your continued support.”
