Vehicle seized at Somerset beauty spot after driving ‘anti-socially’

A VEHICLE was seized after being ‘driven anti-socially’ at a Somerset beauty spot.

Police said officers patrolling in the Ham Hill Country Park area spotted the vehicle – and acted.

A spokesperson from Avon & Somerset Police’s Somerton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Our team has been actively patrolling Ham Hill Country Park during the evenings to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.

“Recently, we stopped a vehicle driving anti-socially in the car park.

“The driver has been reported to court for driving offences, and the vehicle has been seized.

“We appreciate your support in keeping our community safe. If you see any suspicious activity, please don’t hesitate to report it. Together, we can make a difference.”

It comes after police carried out an operation in the Cheddar Gorge area recently, which ended in them detecting more than 80 offences.
