Two arrested after crash which left pedestrian in hospital

TWO people were arrested after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries when they were hit by a car in North Somerset.

The incident, on the A371 Wells Road, in Whitchurch, happened at around 10.40am on Thursday, August 28.

Police were called to the scene after the crash, which involved a black VW Golf and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian was taken to hospital and two people were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.

“We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and may have witnessed something.”
