Teens wanted after air rifle shot at cars in Somerset streets

POLICE are hunting two boys – believed to be in their early teens – after reports of an air rifle being fired at vehicles in Bath.

Officers said the incidents, in the Bloomfield Road and The Wellsway areas, were reported at around 5.50pm on Monday, July 28.

“The first boy is described as white and wearing a black cloth cap and tank top. The second boy is described as Black and wearing a light blue T-shirt,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.

“We are now appealing for witnesses or anybody who can identify the two boys to come forward.”

Inspector Dudley Bond, of the neighbourhood policing team, added: “We have not received any additional reports of this kind, and we believe this to be an isolated incident.

“It is crucial for air rifle owners to act responsibly and familiarise themselves with the relevant legislation.”
