A TEENAGER has been charged with possession of a bladed article after being arrested at Weston Carnival.
The 18-year-old was arrested by officers at the event, on November 7, after a member of the public reported a “suspicious individual”.
Now, they have been charged.
An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said: “We would like to remind the public: Carrying a knife does not protect you, it increases the risk of harm to yourself and others.
“Even if you never intend to use it, being caught with a knife can lead to serious consequences — including up to four years in prison.
“Don’t risk your life for a knife.
“Let’s work together to keep our communities safe.”
