A TEENAGER has been charged in connection with a number of burglaries in Bridgwater.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged after a series of incidents at insecure properties in the town, with car keys being the main target.
Police issued the following tips to reduce the risk of opportunistic crime:
- Check doors and windows are locked
- Keep house and car keys out of sight and reach
- Use security lights with sensors
- Invest in a signal blocking pouch (Faraday Bag) to prevent keyless car thefts.
“Please report any unusual behaviour. Let’s work together to keep our community safe,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson added.
