A TEENAGER was arrested after being found with class-A drugs and cash in Weston-super-Mare.

On the evening of December 30, officers from the Weston Town Centre Team spotted a 16-year-old boy “acting suspiciously”.

“Following a foot chase, he was stopped and found in possession of suspected Class A drugs and a quantity of cash,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.

“The individual was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and three counts of assaulting emergency workers. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.”

Police urged anyone with information about suspected drug dealing to contact them on 101, or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
