POLICE are tracing a ‘young man’ seen in the area of a fire which destroyed a vehicle in Weston-Super-Mare.

The incident unfolded at just after 11pm on Friday, August 8, in North Street.

Officers investigating the blaze, which badly damaged a Seat Ibiza, have now appealed for witnesses to come forward.

“A young man was in the area at the time and we are keen to speak to them,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.

“They were wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, black joggers and grey trainers. They were also riding a black e-scooter.”
