POLICE are “keeping an open mind” about an incident in Glastonbury that left a woman injured which may be linked to an earlier assault of a shop worker.
The woman was taken to hospital after being found injured in Magdalene Street at around 6.50pm on Wednesday evening (May 28).
“We understand she had attended a residential address in Lambrook Street a short time before,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.
“At this stage it is unknown how the woman was injured but can confirm her injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

“We are keeping an open mind whether the incident is linked to an assault earlier in the evening. A shop worker, in High Street, reported he was assaulted by a woman at about 6.30pm.
“Officers remain in the area conducting enquiries today. The local neighbourhood policing team has already been carrying out additional reassurance patrols in the area.”
