POLICE have been investigating properties in Weston-Super-Mare amid concerns they are being used as brothels.
Avon & Somerset Police officers said they were “safeguarding the individuals who were present” after following up reports of “suspicious behaviour” made by members of the public.
“Our primary concern is for the welfare and wellbeing of the involved parties and, following (the) activities, we are safeguarding the individuals who were present and our enquiries are ongoing,” a spokesperson said.
