BRIDGWATER Police Station saw more than 300 zombie-style knives handed in to be destroyed ahead of the ban later this month.
The station is one of many across Somerset that is encouraging owners of both zombie-style knives and machetes to surrender the blades.
Starting at midnight on September 24, it will be a criminal offence to possess a zombie-style knife or machete.
These items are being added to the list of prohibited offensive weapons under the Criminal Justice Act 1988, along with a ban on their manufacture, importation, sale, and supply.
After September 24, possessing these items could lead to criminal prosecution.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “By surrendering these dangerous items, we’re making our communities safer and ensuring they don’t fall into the wrong hands.
“If you plan on surrendering a weapon to one of our designated stations, please ensure that you print and complete the online compensation form before you attend and if surrendering a large number of weapons, please call 101 or pop in to the relevant enquiry office to let them know ahead of time.
“Thank you to everyone who has participated in this important initiative to get these weapons out of our communities.”
