“Phantom throwers” launch eggs and flour at properties in Worle

RESIDENTS in Worle, Weston-super-Mare, have been subject to a “barrage” of household items being thrown at their properties and cars- including eggs, beans and flour.

Police are now calling calling on residents for their help to assist with what they have described as “persisting anti-social behaviour”.

A spokesperson for North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team said: “We have increased our patrols and local shops have been advised. As of yet, we have been unable to identify the phantom throwers.

“Recent victims have confirmed juveniles have been seen running away from their properties.

“We are asking if anyone has any CCTV or knowledge of those juveniles involved.

“We really need your help on this, so if you can help, please contact us either online or via 101.

“Whilst this may seem low-level and unimportant and we await the inevitable “Don’t you have more important things to do?”, messages – to the victims whose houses are covered in mess and then have to be cleaned this is important so we really do need your assistance to support the community.”
