ARMED police were sent to a Taunton property “out of an abundance of caution” – with no weapon found at the address.
At just after 7am on Monday (January 12) morning, police were called to an address in Outer Circle after reports of a weapon at a home.
Armed officers were deployed to investigate the suspected firearm, but soon established it was a false alarm.
“Out of an abundance of caution, armed officers were deployed,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.
“However, it was quickly established that no weapon was present and the deployment was stood down.”
