A DRIVER seen using their mobile phone while on the M5 motorway in Somerset has been banned from the roads.
The person, who was reported to Avon & Somerset Police’s Roads Policing Unit last year after being snapped driving near Taunton, appeared before North Somerset Magistrates’ Court last week.
They received a six-month driving ban and a £133 fine, as well as being ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £53 victim surcharge.
