A DRIVER was clocked driving at more than 100mph on a busy road near Taunton.
Members of Avon & Somerset Police’s Roads Policing Unit (RPU) said the vehicle had been caught on camera on a route – believed to be the A38 – at Thurloxton.
“Another recent example from our Road Safety Enforcement Team,” an RPU spokesperson said.
“This time in a 50mph site at Thurloxton, near Taunton, a site that has already had the speed limit reduced due to serious injury collisions.
“Yet drivers still put them and others at risk due to the high speeds.”
The incident comes just days after police revealed officers had found more than 100 people speeding during just 60 minutes of checks in Castle Cary.
