CCTV appeal after purses stolen from Bath charity shop locker room

POLICE are keen to trace this person after the locker room at a Bath charity shop was broken into and purses stolen.

The incident occurred at a shop in Argyle Street at around 1.30pm on Friday, November 1.

Officers investigating the incident said a person “made his way into the staff locker room, where he broke into lockers and stole two purses containing credit cards, keys and personal documents”.

“These cards were then used fraudulently at stores in Bath city centre,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson added.

The man they are keen to trace is described as white, in his 40s, of proportionate build, with short blond or greying hair, and he’s wearing a white top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

He later changes into a green coloured waterproof top and at times is seen wearing a black bandana, police added.

Anyone who recognises the person pictured, or has more information regarding the incident, should contact police on 101 and give the reference number 5224288195. They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
