CCTV appeal after Boxing Day burglary near Ilminster

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify after jewellery was stolen from a house in Peasmarsh.

An unknown man broke into a house in Peasmarsh Farm Lane between 10.45am and 12pm on December 26, and stole jewellery, police said.

“The man is white, of slim build, facial hair, wearing dark clothing and a beanie hat,” an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said.

They added: “A man was seen carrying bedding before the burglary.

“If you recognise the man pictured, or have any information which could aid our enquiries, we’d like to hear from you.”

Anyone who recognises the man pictured or has any information is asked to contact police on 101 or to make a report via the Avon and Somerset Police website using reference 5224411468.
