A PERSON in Chard had a rude awakening on Sunday morning (October 26) when their car was seized for having no road tax.
Police had the vehicle confiscated from the street due to a lack of tax – now officially known as vehicle excise duty – which officers said was “a legal requirement and vehicles without it can be removed from the streets to keep our community safe and fair for all road users”.
