“AN extremely loud exhaust” has landed a biker in Weston-Super-Mare with paperwork from police detailing noise disturbance laws.
Officers said they received multiple reports from residents about the noisy motorcycle being ridden around the town.
An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said officers had “carried out a planned and co-ordinated operation” to stop the motorcycle over the weekend.
“The rider has been issued official paperwork in relation to the noise disturbance caused,” they said.
“We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to report this to us. Your vigilance helps us keep our communities safe and peaceful.”
Under UK law, it is illegal to modify exhaust systems to increase noise beyond manufacturer specifications.
