A PROPERTY in Weston-Super-Mare was raided by police yesterday (July 9) – with two people arrested on suspicion of drug dealing.
Officers from the Weston Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team, assisted by Bournville Neighbourhood Policing Team and the new Neighbourhood Tasking Team, raided an address in North Street.
Two men, aged 26 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A (crack cocaine) and class C (nitrous oxide gas) drugs and remain in police custody.
As well as making the arrests, officers seized a sum of cash, a quantity of white powder, cannisters which are believed to be for NOS gas, phones, a small amount of suspected cannabis, drug-related paraphernalia and a Sur-Ron bike.

A scene was initially in place but has since been closed down and enquiries are ongoing, said Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Christopher Darnell.
“Today’s warrant was only possible thanks to the information we received from members of the public and the work of officers in the community,” Sgt Darnell added.
“Because of this, we have been able to seize a number of items which are considered harmful to our communities.
“I would like to thank everyone who contacted us with information. Even something which may, on the surface, seem small and not as significant can help us build a wider picture and aid enquiries.”
Anyone with information about suspected drug offences should contact police on 101 in a non-emergency.
