A MAN was arrested amid reports of anti-social behaviour and public order offences in Glastonbury – after being ordered to leave the town centre.
Police were called to the town centre yesterday (June 5) after reports from the public.
After attending the scene, officers issued a Section 34 notice – ordering two people to leave the area.
However, Avon & Somerset Police said one of the people returned and was arrested.
“Two males were issued the dispersal order, but a short while later one of the males returned to the area and was subsequently arrested by the Glastonbury Neighbourhood Team,” a spokesperson said.
They were taken to a police station as enquiries continue, they added.
