A 41-YEAR-OLD man was arrested over an alleged assault – involving a knife – in Frome on Saturday morning (July 5).
This incident unfolded at around 5am, when police officers were made aware of an incident in Culver Hill, when a man is alleged to have approached two teenagers, becoming aggressive.
“The man threatened the pair with a knife and, while no initial injury was reported, it was later established one of the victims had sustained a cut to their shoulder,” an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said.
“The victim has been taken to hospital to receive medical attention, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life changing.”

Officers were out in the area throughout the day and a man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“We would also like to remind the public that this is a live investigation and ask them not to speculate online,” the spokesperson added.
