A YEOVIL man has been arrested after reports of someone “trying car door handles” in the area in recent months.
Avon & Somerset Police said the arrest, over the weekend, came after “multiple reports over the last couple of months, about a male trying car door handles”.
The man had been arrested “for multiple offences relating to theft from motor vehicles”, they said.
“The offender has been remanded in custody until his court date,” a spokesperson went on.
“Our officers are committed to tackling this type of crime and keeping our communities safe.
“Thanks to the public for staying vigilant and helping to put a stop to these crimes by reporting all incidents to us.”
