A SEASIDE Somerset town has cancelled a Christmas lights switch-on event this weekend amid warnings of bad weather.
The event, at Clevedon Pier, was set to welcome visitors to the town’s landmark pier on Friday night (December 5).
However, organisers said the event has been cancelled.
“We are sorry to announce that our Light Up The Pier event on Friday has been cancelled, due to poor weather,” organisers said.
“The lights will be on from 5pm, however there will be no access to the Pier. Please stay safe. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
