A BRIDGWATER events venue was targeted by vandals over the weekend.
The team at The Canalside, found on Marsh Lane, has expressed their deep disappointment after windows were smashed at the popular venue.
They say the culprits were caught clearly on CCTV, the footage of which has been sent to the police, and they will need to be stricter about site access in the future as a direct response to the damage.
“We’re saddened—and honestly, deeply disappointed—to share that over the weekend, our site was targeted by vandals, causing significant damage and extra work for our team,” a spokesperson for The Canalside said.
“It’s disheartening to see such mindless destruction. We have clear CCTV footage and are working closely with the police to address the situation.

“This comes at an already busy time for us, so we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we focus on repairs and getting everything back in order.
“Moving forward, we will need to enforce stricter guidelines regarding site access, particularly in the playpark and playing field.
“Please be aware that this is not a public space and we are a small team to manage everything.
“Guests are welcome to use these areas only during our coffee lounge’s opening hours (Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 2pm) and only after visiting the lounge.”
The charity had paint thrown across its car park, office windows and one of its vehicles and shattered glass was also found at the site.
