PUNTERS – particularly sports fans – have been supping the new facilities at a Yeovil pub after a £376,000 makeover.
The Arrow, run by Marston’s, has been converted into a Grandstand sports pub, aimed at making it the go-to venue for people wanting to watch sporting events.
Big screens – including a 1.68 metre-tall display – darts, state-of-the-art sound and tiered seating make it more accessible for people hoping to take in the biggest sporting events.
An official opening on February 18 saw the likes of MP Adam Dance, Mayor of Yeovil Tony Lock and more turn out to pull the first pints.

Elsewhere at the pub, in The Forum, outdoor bars have been installed, with screens, while the all-new Marston’s Order & Pay allows customers to order from their tables.
And sports fans are being urged to dig out their memorabilia from local clubs – such as Yeovil Town FC – to line the walls of the pub.
Sports teams in the Yeovil area can also get their hands on a ‘Black Card’ – securing them endless chips when they visit for team drinks.
Louise Goodland, pub partner at The Arrow, said: “From new screens and menus to involving the local community, we’re passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels welcome – whether they’re here for the match, a family meal, or to celebrate with their team after the final whistle.”
