Specsavers in Street reveals new look – as directors mark a decade in the town

A STREET opticians revealed changes after a major overhaul – while two directors celebrated 10 years at the branch.

Specsavers, at 93 High Street, unveiled its new look in June after a nine-week transformation.

The store expansion included the addition of three new testing rooms, an extension of the contact lens area and the installation of an optical coherence tomography (OCT) machine.

Meanwhile, as well as celebrating the store’s expansion and makeover, directors Catherine Pinkawa and Colin Shearer are marking their 10-year anniversaries.

Optical director Colin took on his role in 2014, while retail director Catherine also started working at the store in the same year, before becoming a co-director in 2019.

“We have developed incredible relationships with the local community since we opened in 2003 and we’re thrilled to welcome our customers into the new store,” said Catherine.

“To accommodate the store expansion and our customer’s needs, we have recruited, bringing the team to 26 in total now.

“It’s also great for Colin and I to be marking our 10th anniversaries. It’s an exciting time for us, with lots to celebrate and we’re looking forward to using all our experience across the team and the new-look store to continue to provide the best possible service to our customers.”
