Somerset Business Awards 2025 finalists revealed: Full list

FINALISTS for the Somerset Business Awards 2025 have been revealed.

Organisers have unveiled shortlists across 14 categories following “a rigorous judging process which saw sponsors travelling to all corners of the county”.

The awards, run by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, has picked finalists from Highbridge, Taunton, Wiveliscombe, Yeovil, Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Merriott, Clevedon, Clutton, Wellington, Rooksbridge, Langport, Wells, Cheddar, Middlezoy, Bleadon, Somerton, Barrington, Shepton Mallet, Roadwater and Sandford.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the awards, supported by main sponsor, Albert Goodman, with a glittering grand final ceremony set to be hosted by Global broadcast journalist Cormac MacMahon at the Winter Gardens Pavilion, in Weston-super-Mare, on March 28.

David Crew, MD of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, thanked everyone who had entered the awards and said the most hotly contested categories had included Service Excellence, Small Business of the Year and Start-up of the Year.

“Despite some really challenging trading conditions, it’s been incredibly encouraging to see so many fantastic applications from business and charities from across the county – they are doing some great work and we are honoured to be able to highlight that through these awards,” he said.

“The finalists have come from across the county, representing a wide range of sectors and industries and we are looking forward to celebrating their achievements at the final on March 28.”

Mike Cahill, a partner at Albert Goodman, added: “As the proud main sponsor for the fifteenth consecutive year, we’ve seen first-hand how businesses have thrived after entering, gaining well-deserved recognition and reaching new heights.

“These awards celebrate the very best that Somerset has to offer and entering provides a valuable opportunity to raise your profile, motivate your team and drive your business forward.”
