SOMERSET-based communications firm ADPR has appointed a new account director.
Chris Penfold has joined the company after stints at KOR Communications and Barefoot Media during a 15-year career in strategic PR.
He has specialised in travel and tourism, hospitality and event management, working with clients including Rock Oyster Festival, Pentire Drinks and Padstow Christmas Festival on award-winning campaigns.

ADPR said it was keen to harness his passion for digital marketing to spearhead the agency’s Digital PR offering and support with new business development.
Joint MD, Kate O’Sullivan, said: “Chris’ experience brings new opportunities to ADPR, which supports the development of our current services, enabling us to further enhance our clients’ communications programmes.

In his new role, Chris will be responsible for developing engaging and “meaningful communication strategies” for clients including Sunsail, boatfolk and Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
He will also lead the agency’s own PR and marketing, integrating traditional and digital activations, alongside the agency’s growth ambitions.
