SHEPTON Mallet Prison has been ranked in the top 10% of ‘things to do’ – globally.

The attraction has been awarded the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award – which recognises locations, events and more that have received rave reviews and ratings over the past 12 months.

The Somerset attraction’s 2025 accolade marks seven consecutive years of recognition from the travel review website.

“Receiving the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award reflects the hard work, determination and passion of our team,” said Joel Campbell, CEO of Cove Attractions, which runs Shepton Mallet Prison.

“We would like to thank all of the new visitors, returning guests and our annual pass holders, who step behind the imposing prison walls and leave with lasting memories.”
