THE opening of a new KFC drive-thru in Wellington has moved a step closer after a planning application was submitted for signs.
The fast food giant has submitted plans to Somerset Council for nine signs at the premises, on the Westpark 26 development, including window designs, illuminated signs and more.
KFC is the latest big-name chain to move on to the Westpark 26 site, following the likes of Costa and Travelodge.
The drive-thru, which also has 31 parking spaces including 12 dedicated electric vehicle charging spots, fronts on to the A38.
It was built by Somerset-based Summerfield Commercial, which completed work on the building in January, when it was handed over the KFC.
Around 30 new jobs are set to be created at the restaurant.
