Food concession on Burnham seafront up for grabs

FANCY running a business on the Somerset seafront? Well, now could be you chance…

Somerset Council is inviting offers for a food concession on The Esplanade, in Burnham-on-Sea, for forthcoming summer seasons.

The council arranges for businesses to trade on or near the beach or park to encourage visitors and to make their leisure trips more enjoyable – with a food provider vacancy on offer for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

The closing date for submission is midday on Friday, March 6, and anyone interested in applying should visit somerset.gov.uk/beaches-ports-and-flooding/apply-for-a-seasonal-summer-concessions.

“Please note that Somerset Council is dedicated to keeping the county’s beaches green and therefore will not be taking applications for beach goods concessions,” a spokesperson added.
