BREAN Theme Park has gone into liquidation – plunging the future of the Somerset attraction into doubt.
The company that runs the park appointed liquidators on January 28, it has been confirmed, and is required to cease trading.
Brean Leisure Park is a separate entity to Unity Holidays, which owns the land but does not operate the attraction, and is unaffected by the move.
Nicholas Stafford, of Hazlewoods LLP, has been appointed as liquidator, and will oversee the process of dividing company assets between shareholders and creditors.
The liquidation notice said: “Notice is given that the following written resolutions of the above-named company were passed on January 28, 2026, as a Special resolution and Ordinary resolution respectively: 1. ‘That the Company be wound up voluntarily’ and 2. ‘That Nicholas Stafford (IP No: 27270) of Hazlewoods LLP, Staverton Court, Staverton, Cheltenham, GL51 0UX be appointed Liquidator of the Company’.”

Brean Theme Park had been due to re-open on march 14, though that is now uncertain, with the company not yet commenting on the liquidation.
It boasts rides including NASA Rockets, the Bulldog Coaster, Terror Castle and Spinning Barrels.
Posting at the end of the 2025 season, the attraction said: “As our gates close for the season, we want to say a huge thank you to all our visitors, season pass holders, and supporters who made this year one to remember.
“From fun-filled family days to thrilling rides and laughter all around – you’ve made Brean Theme Park the place to be.
“We’re now officially closed for the season, but don’t worry – we’ll be back before you know it, ready for another year of excitement and adventure.”
