BRIDGWATER Santander is to close, the bank has confirmed.
The branch, in Fore Street, will close at 3pm on April 29, the Spanish firm confirmed.
It said customers were “choosing to use mobile, online and telephone banking more, and branches less”.
“We’re aware of the impact of this decision, and will be here for you in person until this branch closes,” a spokesperson said.
“We can offer support and answer any questions, so that you can make an informed decision on alternative ways to bank.”
Bridgwater Santander is one of 44 branch closures announced, with almost 300 jobs put at risk, and comes less than 12 months after the announcement of 95 other sites shutting.
