A SOMERSET house which provided the backdrop for two series of the Great British Bake Off is up for sale.
Harptree Court, in the Mendip Hills, is on the market with Savills with a tasty asking price of just under £7 million.
The Georgian property was built in 1797, originally known as Richmond Hall and owned by Joshua Scrope.
Scrope, Lord of the Manor in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, sold it to the Waldegrave family in 1803, who owned it until 1858, when it was bought by a Miss Gurney.
In 1879 it was bought by William Wildman Ketllewell and remains a private home.
