TWO more iconic rock bands are set to grace the boards at the Cheese and Grain in Frome next summer.
Nu-metal legends Drowning Pool and Snot have announced a June 14 concert at the Somerset venue.
Famed for the global hit Bodies (“Let the bodies hit the floor…”), Drowning Pool toured the world and became a household name among metal fans.
Both bands, however, have seen tragedy as well as huge success.
Just a year after the release of their debut album in 2001, Drowning Pool frontman Dave Williams passed away.
Ryan McCombs joined the band and helped them cement their place in rock history, and re-joined the band in 2023, coming full circle.
“Just being back in the same room together after so many years… was a quick reminder as to why I considered them to be my best friends in the business back in the day,” he said.

And guitarist CJ Pierce said he was not offended by most people only knowing one of the band’s sings – through the huge success of Bodies.
“I’d play Bodies five times a night if people really wanted it that bad,” he said.
Snot, meanwhile, also lost an iconic frontman – Lynn Strait – in 1998, a year after they released classic debut long-player, Get Some, and the band disbanded.
They reunited several times in the following years, most recently in 2024, with Andy Knapp on vocals.
